European Robotics Forum 2020

The Division of Robotics of the Institut d'Organització i Control de Sistemes Industrials (IOC) has participated in the European Robotics Forum 2020 ‘Future Robotics: Unlocking Human Potential’, hosted at Trade Fair and Congress Centre of Malaga (FYCMA), in Malaga, Spain, from last March 3rd to 5th. Around 800 entrepreneurs and experts attended the event. The Division of Robotics of the IOC had a stand in the exhibition area, where information about the work of the research group was displayed, and, in particular, some results of the research project currently under development "Autonomous Dexterous Robots as Coworkers with Human Operators" supported by the Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad (DPI2016-80077-R). Four members of the Division attended the Forum: Andrés Montaño, Mohamed Diab, Jan Rosell and Raúl Suárez. The European Robotics Forum 2020 is supported by euRobotics AISBL (Association Internationale Sans But Lucratif) aimed at strengthening the bond between members of the robotics community. One of the euRobotics AISBL's main missions is to collaborate with the European Commission (EC) to develop and implement a strategy and a roadmap for research, technological development, and innovation in robotics, in view of the launch of the next framework program Horizon 2020.
