"Best Work-in-Progress Paper Award on Factory Automation” at ETFA’24

From September 10th to 13th, the twenty-ninth edition of the “IEEE Emerging Technologies and Factory Automation (ETFA’24)” conference took place in Padova, Italy. Marina Pujol, Pol Ramón and Raúl Suárez from the IOC Robotics Division attended, presenting four papers, and they were joined there by Pouria Zakariapour, a student from the University of Padova who in 2023 completed her master’s thesis at the IOC within the framework of an ERASMUS placement that led to another paper accepted at ETFA’24.

One of the papers presented at ETFA’24, entitled “Analytical approach to reorient unknown objects via in-hand manipulation” and carried out by Morad Shirzadi, Isiah Zaplana and Raúl Suárez, was awarded  the “Best Work-in-Progress Paper Award on Factory Automation”.
