Arias Pujol, Antoni
Antoni Arias i Pujol received the BEng degree in electrical engineering, MEng and PhD degrees in control and electronic engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Catalonia, Spain, in 1993, 1997 and 2001 respectively. From 1992 to 1995 he worked at SADECT S.A., a local industrial electronics company. Since 1996 he has been a Lecturer at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and was appointed as an Associate Professor in 2002 at the same University. In 1999 he was a visiting research assistant and part time lecturer at the University of Glamorgan, UK. In 2003 and 2004 he joined as a Visiting Fellow the Power Electronics, Machines and Control Group at the University of Nottingham, UK. In 2011 and 2012 he was at the Laboratoire de Génie Electrique de Paris (France) as a Maître de Conférences invité. His research interests include sensorless variable-speed drive systems, power electronics converters and control strategies.
