Hatami, Sara

Sara Hatami is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Management (DOE) and the Institute of Industrial and Control Engineering (IOC) at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). She holds degrees in Industrial Engineering and a PhD in Industrial Production. Her main research areas and interests include the application of operational research techniques, with a specific focus on designing Intelligent Optimization Algorithms to address real-world challenges in sectors such as Transportation & Logistics, scheduling, and production planning. She has participated in numerous public and private research and transfer projects and has published in top-ranked journals, prestigious scientific editorials, and international conferences. In addition to her research and teaching activities, she has considerable experience in knowledge transfer, leading the exploitation of R&D results, and fostering synergies with both public and private entities.
