Leduchowicz Municio, Alba

Alba Leduchowicz Municio is undertaking her PhD in Sustainability at the Department of Mechanical Engineering (DEM) and the Institute of Industrial and Control Engineering (IOC) of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). She is also a PhD candidate at the Energy Group of the Department of Energy Engineering and Electrical Automation (GEPEA) of the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (EP-USP). She holds a degree in Industrial Engineering and specialized in Energy during her master’s degree at the UPC. Her research focuses on multi-criteria methodologies to assess the sustainability of rural electrification programs and energy access initiatives in the Global South, with a focus on Brazil and an emphasis on gender mainstreaming. Within this framework, she has participated in research projects at UPC and EP-USP and has published articles in international journals. She is currently enrolled in the Regional Academy of the United Nations (RAUN) program.
