Pastor Moreno, Rafael

Rafael Pastor is a Full Professor of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research at the School of Industrial Engineering of Barcelona of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). Previously, he worked as a product production manager for Revlon. Dr Pastor holds a PhD in industrial engineering and a Master’s Degree in Logistics Organization. His research focusses on the use of a variety of combinatorial optimisation techniques to model and solve real-world applications in production, scheduling and manpower planning. He has published about 100 papers in JCR Journal as EJOR, JORS, IJPE, IJPR, C&OR, OMEGA, JoH, Annals of Operations Research, Production Planning & Control, Journal of Global Optimization, Assembly Automation, Energy, Journal of Scheduling, Computers & Industrial Engineering, Applied Energy, Energy for Sustainable Development, Energy for Sustainable Development and Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, among other journals.
